December
December
Hello from really quite beautiful, sunny, Mesa, Arizona. Home of Marshall and his mom and dad, Faith and Spencer, and new puppy, Sasha. Sasha really is quite the beautiful wee girl. She is a Doberman so she won't be 'wee' for long but at the moment she is delightfully rambunctious and quite comical as she still has her "hat" on that keeps her ears taped up as she only got them cropped a week ago. Marshall is wonderful with her and she with him and he has learned very quickly to keep his bedroom door closed or risk having his toys become her chew-toys. She definitely is adding a totally different dynamic to the household. Speaking of households, Spence and Faith have done a huge amount of work on the house since I was here in July. It definitely has their imprint on it and I am sure Great-Gram will be happy with all of the changes they've made. Tomorrow I am going to take some more pictures of Marshall and Sasha and see how accomplished I can get with posting them to the blog. Say a prayer for me over the next couple of days when I will have Marshall and Sasha on my own while mom and dad have a well-deserved break. I expect it will be an interesting couple of days for us :-)............

Will I ever finish getting packed?
You would think I am going to Arizona for two months, not two weeks, as the challenges of packing seem enormous. I think it is the temperature swings that make it tough, anything from low 30s in the morning to high 60s or 70s in the afternoon and trying to keep it to one small suitcase. Love the challenge! I am really looking forward to getting there on Tuesday. Marshall will be so big and chatty, too. And there is the new puppy, Sasha, who arrived on Wednesday. I will have my hands more than full with Marshall and Sasha when Spencer and Faith go away for a couple of days at the end of the week. I knew there was a reason why I've been working so hard at the gym! :-)) I can't wait to get the new Red Flyer wagon put together to get Marshall out cruising the 'hood every day. I am going to take the opportunity to play around with this blog while I'm away to see if I can put pictures up and so on. It will be a bit of a 'shakedown' for South America.
You all take care and stay safe...................sf

First post to my Blog
New to this blogging thing....so this is a test.
Just returned home from having a pre-Christmas dinner in Toronto with Nancy, Jim and Andrew. Catered by Jenna Wilson from jennaliciousgourmet.com and she is amazing. I would highly recommend her services to any who desire fantastic food delivered and served in your home with a smile and a lesson on what's being served. Her website is just about to be launched so check out her catering menu when you have a chance.
I am hoping that this blog will serve as a way to communicate travels and adventures over the next few months as I make my way to Arizona to see the kids for Christmas and then go on to South America with Maggie in January for 7 weeks. Stay tuned................
